A few years ago he made me a very remarkable large lamp in the form of a great stellated regular icosahedron. To make the lamp he had to cut sixty congruent equilateral triangular pieces of glass. The lamp is cleverly designed to allow the escape of the heat generated by the light bulb, and it has an ingenious hinged top permitting easy change of the bulb. At the first meeting of this class I noticed, among the twenty-some assembled students, a brightlooking and somewhat roundish fellow who paid rapt attention to the introductory lecture.
