Mary Jo Frawley

One of Doctors Without Borders most experienced Aid Workers. As a field nurse, Mary Jo has worked with medical teams to control infectious disease outbreaks such as Ebola, Marburg, Malaria and Cholera; set up and run feeding centers to deal with acute malnutrition; carried out measles vaccination programs; and worked in surgical, maternity, and pediatric wards.  She has also trained local nurses, midwives, and community health workers and spent 14 months working in Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake. Other assignments have taken her to Ethiopia, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Darfur region of Sudan, Liberia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan and Sierra Leone.
